Each exam screens for early signs of serious eye diseases such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, retinal detachment, and many more. We also screen for other ocular health conditions such as cataracts, significant pterygium, and eye structural issues. While we don’t treat these conditions ourselves, we’ll quickly refer you to a specialist for timely care if detected.
Peripheral vision is assessed at every exam to rule out possible retinal issues and other eye diseases that will need to be referred out for more specialty care. Evaluating eye alignment and muscle function causing binocularity issues and double vision are also essential parts of our exam. If we find minor eye alignment issues, we may use prisms or recommend simple vision therapy. For more complex cases, we’ll refer you to an ophthalmologist for specialized treatment options.
We conduct a close examination of the eye’s structures, including the eyelids, cornea, conjunctiva, iris, lens, and retina. If any treatable issues arise, we’ll provide the appropriate care; otherwise, we’ll refer you to specialists for conditions that fall outside our scope of practice.
We carefully assess your vision needs to provide accurate prescriptions for glasses and or contact lenses, ensuring you experience optimal clarity.
Routine annual eye exams are comprehensive check-ups designed to monitor the health of your eyes and the quality of your vision. Using advanced equipment, we check for eye pressure, corneal curvature, and any issues in the retina or macula.
